Milk has always been a staple drink in any breakfast table throughout any part of the world. It has been used for generations to supplement calcium, make strong bones and essentially provide that much needed protein when growing up. You can say that it is part of every culture to drink cow's milk.

But did you know that in recent scientific studies, milk is really not all that good. But before you start throwing away your milk cartons and bottles, read some of the concepts and ideas presented here.

Have you ever noticed the fact that humans are the only mammals that still drink milk even after the weaning stage? Most animals tend to stop drinking milk after a certain stage of their lives. And also, have you ever seen animals derive their milk consumption from another animal? A horse drinking cow's milk is not something you'd see anywhere.

Humans, for the longest time have always outsourced milk from cows. Why? Because of the mass quantity of milk that a single cow can produce. A single cow can provide enough milk for a single family in a month. Imagine a whole herd of cows in a barn. That number can easily provide milk for towns and more. That is where milk companies come in. Cows are used for dairy farming for the volume that milk companies can collect from them.

In recent years, many doctors and scientists have already come up with the list of diseases and disorders found to be associated with milk. In their study, just by minimizing the amount of milk consumed per day, some of the symptoms of these diseases have disappeared in several subjects:

  1. Respiratory ailments such as asthma, throat problems, infections of the ear and skin disorders

  2. Digestive system problems, low metabolism, cramps

  3. Obesity and heart problems

  4. Urinary tract infections and similar disorders

  5. Cysts and Tumors



Even osteoporosis, the ailment due to lack of calcium can also be attributed to the consumption of milk. Although for years, it has been advertised that milk can combat the occurrence and effects of osteoporosis, most are not aware that milk contains high amounts of phosphorus that actually cause the disease.

So for your safety, do your research. Because what you put inside your body is your own responsibility. Only you can decide what food or drinks that you consume for your health.
